We work with a variety of technologies in the software and web app development spaces, including but not limited to .NET, Java, PHP and other open source stacks. Ultimately since each of our Extended Office teams adapts to the technology stacks and agile processes of each client, we are technology-agnostic and open to both established and trending technologies.

An Extended Office Team is Pyxle’s unique approach to offshore outsourcing for a range of software-related services including software development, application support & maintenance, quality assurance, and project rescue.

Our Extended Office teams work as extensions of existing client teams, integrating fully into the client’s work processes, systems and communication methods. Clients are involved throughout the entire startup process including screening, interviewing and hiring developer resources. The team then operates as a dedicated set of resources for its client, working exclusively and full-time as part of the client’s team, operating from the Pyxle office premises in Colombo.

In addition, clients are welcome to send in-house staff to visit the team in Colombo and work alongside them for shorter or longer periods as desired, whether it’s to onboard the team initially, to provide ongoing training and development, or to brief them on changing project requirements.

Our services can be delivered in several engagement forms, including Fixed Price, Time and Materials (T&M), and Offshore Development Center (ODC). The engagement model is determined by the nature and duration of the project.

We offer the Time and Materials (T&M) monthly retainer pricing option for most engagements. In certain cases, a Fixed Price model can be arranged. The pricing model is determined by the nature and duration of the project.

Our services are competitively priced for the Asia regional market, providing significant cost savings to your business operations compared to directly hiring in-house resources. While cost savings is often an important factor for clients, we find clients place more value in the high quality of service and open communications that our Extended Office teams provide.

New resources can be onboarded typically in a matter of 4-6 weeks. While that might seem like a long time to hire, we require that much time to ensure proper screening, interviewing and hiring of candidates tailored to each client engagement. Since most of our client engagements are long-term relationships with our Extended Office teams working in tandem with the client’s in-house staff, it’s crucial to hire the right resources to fill each role.

The onboarding process is straightforward. First we discuss and agree on the resource requirements, in terms of the number of people and the skillsets and experience levels required for each role. Second we recruit, screen and interview candidates to fill each position. Clients can choose to be actively involved in this process with interviews conducted through online video chats or preferably with a client onsite visit to Colombo. Lastly once candidates are hand-picked and hired, we undertake the initial training and onboarding process to get each resource up to speed on your working methods, agile processes and systems.
